Chris Hogan, long time radio personality and author, announced in a video on Twitter today that he has left Ramsey Solutions after failing to meet the company’s standards.
“Recently it’s come to light that I’ve done some things personally that are not in line with Ramsey Solutions, and as a result I’m no longer a team member at Ramsey,” Hogan said in the video. “I’m sorry for the harm that this has caused.”
With more than 117,000 Twitter followers and about 250,000 YouTube subscribers, Hogan was considered one of the company’s most popular personalities. Hogan, author of “Everyday Millionaires,” hosted his own radio show on Ramsey’s platform and was a frequent guest host of Dave Ramsey’s program.
In a statement, Ramsey Solutions stated: “This week, new information came to light that Chris Hogan has recently done some things personally that are not in line with Ramsey Solutions’ core values.”
The news of Hogan’s departure comes after the radio hosts’ extramarital affairs — and the company’s handling of them — were investigated by the Religious News Service earlier this year.
RNS’ Bob Smietana reported that in 2019 Ramsey Solutions set up a “restoration plan” for Chris Hogan’s marriage after his then-wife Melissa Hogan came to the company with allegations that he had been unfaithful. When Melissa objected to the plan, Smietana says that she was told she “lacked hope for her marriage’s future” and was not allowed to be a part of her husband’s book tour. Ramsey then went ahead and criticized her at an all-staff meeting.
This all happened around the same time another Ramsey employee was fired for being pregnant outside of marriage, according to a lawsuit. Meanwhile, Hogan was not fired for his affairs at the time.
Los Angeles Daily Finance was scheduled to interview Chris Hogan on Thursday, March 11th, but the interview was canceled after Hogan’s departure was made public.
